Sunbeams streaming through the evergreens.
In the beauty of the snowflake,
Falling softly on the land,
Is the mystery and miracle
Of God's creative hand!
Heavy hoar frost on this pine cone looks sharp yet is so delicate.
More hoar frost, pretty against the green.
These pictures are not current(taken several years ago)but still pretty.
Ruth,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing the beauty and magnificance of creation with us. I know you do not do this to receive prase from anyone, but for those of us who do not get to witness these things it is such a treat and joy to see. Thank you for sharing your talent!

Wow---what great pictures Ruth...I love the icicles along with the snow on the evergreens. I also liked the pine cone one. We got a tiny bit of snow (VERY LITTLE) last night--but nothing as gorgeous as you have. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteThese are some nice shots, Ruth
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, I especially like the first. We got flurries here but not nearly as much as you.

Yes, Ruth, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous snow scenes Ruth, and I love your new banner !
ReplyDeleteAnother great post. I am NOT ready for this winter. Think it is going to be a real cold one. With global warming and all. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures. It is some years since we had snow, so I'm hoping that this year will be different as it is Milou's favourite time, his little legs get bogged down and he rolls himself in the snowdrifts and ends up the snow white dog he should be. Plus I intend to take pictures to rival these beauties.
ReplyDeleteRuth, You have captured some really interesting and beautiful shots. I love close ups of nature. I so enjoy all the linear patterns that one doesn't see from a far. That pine cone photo is super! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteYour front on close up of the pine is very beautiful. It is an angle I shall try too. Still no snow here but there may be some in the forecast for tomorrow. Hope not though.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs... the icicle is so pretty with that drop of water... that's amazing ...

Ruth - loving your snow photos! The pine cone is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are absolutely beautiful. If our snow was this beautiful I would probably like it more than I do!
ReplyDeleteThose snow pictures are making me long for snow and that's saying a lot because I normally detest snow.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous
Wonderful wintry pictures! The hoar frost and pinecones are really pretty - makes me think of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous Ruth!! We had our first bit of snow last night--- only an inch.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! I love the pine cone and pine branch photos in particular. And that last one...good catch!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images Ruth. Winter offers such fun objects to photograph. I really like the frosty pinecone.

Brrrr! ...and we thought it got cold in New Jersey. I don't recall seeing hoar frost quite as thick and sharp as that.
ReplyDeleteExpecting light snow here tomorrow.
I love the sun shining through the snow-covered trees.

Ruth: Cool photos of the cold outdoors. I like your bird photos below, nicely done.
