The Milkweed Seeds

One of the things I enjoy doing in fall is to capture the Milkweed seeds.
This plant readily grows in many areas, so it is not hard to find.

I am fascinated by these small seeds, each so perfectly designed to float away and produce another plant.

Here you see all those seed, lined up and ready leave the pod.

Those delicate filaments move with the slightest breeze.

Yes, I take too many similar pictures, but in my mind each one is beautiful.

Those filament like hair, glisten and sparkle in the sunlight.

Look at how neatly all the seeds are tucked into the pod. When that pod pops open, the seeds are ready to be released and fly away with the wind.

Each one of these seeds has the potential to become a new Milkweed plant, which in turn is a food source and a host for the magnificent Monarch Butterfly.

Something To Think About:
Think about it, Seeds are blessings in waiting.
(This is especially true for the butterflies)
