Let's Go For A Walk

So,I prepared this post a little while ago, but the pictures, really are from the end of August, and I am still happy that you are here to enjoy this walk with me.

It's a warm, pleasant and sunny day in the very end of August.A perfect day to go for a morning walk.I am happy that you came along with me.Let's see what kind of beauty we find along the Lake Minniwasta Trail,at least along part of the trail.

As we walk down the path, this is what we see. May be nothing that spectacular, but just to be out in the calming beauty of nature is wonderful.

The sunlight hits these leaves and turns them into something that catches our eye.Simple,yet pretty.

Oh look! Do you see how lovely that tree, dressed in fall splendour looks against the blue Manitoba sky? It is worth stopping to take it all in.

We continue on down the trail.You can just see a glimpse of the lake through the trees. We do have to be alert as often a cyclist or two may be cruising through on this trail as well.

Some more leaves, highlighted by the sunshine.As we all along, we can hear birds twittering high in the branches of the trees.Beautiful music to accompany us on our walk.

We've reached a point where we can clearly see the lake.No boats on it today so it is very calm. Notice the changing leaves on the trees.

Time passes quickly and the morning is almost done, so we turn around and make our way back to the car. But let's not be in too big a hurry.Let's just drink in all the beauty around us.Sometimes a fence is put up to keep animals in, this time it was put there to keep motorized vehicles out.

In my opinion they did a fine job of erecting this fence.It blends in well with the surroundings.

We are almost back at the car, but stop to take another look over the lake. Notice that someone has launched his boat and is quietly fishing.

Just behind us, stands my car, ready to take us home or maybe out for another look somewhere.My Facebook friends will recognize this rock.I had posted it and someone mentioned it looked like a giant turtle.I agree.How about you?

Later that same day,after we have relaxed and had some supper, we get back into my car and go for a little drive.The evening light makes everything look extra lovely.

See how the sun highlights those yellow leaves and makes them almost glow.
