Whiteshell Provincial Park and Farewell to October

As move right along into another month, I want to share with you a day trip I took, in September, with a couple of friends. Our destination was Whiteshell Provincial Park on the eastern side of Manitoba.

We had a perfect day, not too warm and no clouds. Good company makes the miles fly by quickly, so before we knew it, we were at the park.

One of the first things that caught my eye, was a Bald Eagle circling in the blue sky.

One spot I like to visit each time I go to the park, is Caddy Lake.
This view was well worth stopping for.

A short hike didn't yield much, but the walk was pretty.

Rainbow Falls is another must see place for me. I don't know the reason for the name, but it is a lovely little falls.

Briefly my attention was diverted to this gull flying overhead.

As we enjoyed the falls, this family came by with  a couple of big dogs. I think the idea was for the dogs just to walk along the edge of the water, but they had other ideas.
This one found a stick and then proceeded to the edge of the falls and made his way down.

The look on this face was not exactly enjoyment. I think they came over a little faster than was planned, but all ended well.

We carried on to see what else we could find to enjoy. This peaceful scene was near Seven Sisters Falls.

The falls itself are not high, but still are quite lovely.

One more parting shot of the area and it was time for us to carry on and find some supper.

Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.
