Hodgepodge

I have titled this post Hodgepodge, because I have so many pictures I want to share that I need to combine some to get caught up.

Actually, I guess I will likely never get caught up, as I have far more pictures that never get posted.

First, I invite you to join me as we watch another sunset at Lake Minniwasta.

It was in late September, the leaves were changing color and the sun had started setting earlier.

Here we see the sun peeking through some fall leaves.

I want to draw your attention to the beauty of these sun-highlighted leaves.

Lake Minniwasta has been turned to gold as the sun slowly drops to the horizon .

Even a few dried grass stems look like they are golden in the evening light.

Well friends, it is now another day and let's see what kind of beauty we can find today.

A field of swathed Canola looks pretty.

At my house, the Red-breasted Nuthatch comes for a drink at the bird bath.

Followed quickly by the cheerful Black-capped Chickadee.

Driving along in the countryside, fall brings migrating hawks to the area. This red-tailed Hawk wasn’t in the mood to get his picture taken.

A few miles down the road another Red-tailed Hawk, waited just long enough to take off, so I could get a shot. It always looks like they lift off slowly, but it happens so fast that a picture does not always happen.,

God brings beauty from all seasons.

Father, You have permitted this season in my life. Help me to be content in the midst of it, and to recognize Your power and might are at work.
