A few weeks ago I decided to go looking for Snowy Owls. I must have picked the right day and the right places, because I saw no less than nine Snowy Owls and some of them were quite cooperative to allow me to get pictures.
Of course they usually sit on top of a hydro pole, so there are power lines, which I do not like.
In this case it shows reality, and I have to take what I can get.
I tried different angles. I might add that all pictures were taken from my car, which was stopped at the time of the shot.
I will capture photos of any Snowy Owl, but the ones I really like are the almost pure white ones.
These ghosts of winter just have a special charm to them.
They are fine when sitting, but I also love the in flight shots.
This final picture today's post shows why I call them White Ghosts of winter.
