Since we are past the middle of August, fall is just around the corner. We can still expect to enjoy beautiful weather, but those early signs of fall are all around us.
Fields of ripened grain are waiting for the combines to come and do their job.
It seems that almost any day when out driving around, I see combines on the field. Those crops need to be brought in while they are dry and ready for harvest.
In the roadside ditches the Goldenrod is putting on quite a show. For those with allergies this may be a bad time of year, but I do love the look of these flowers.
Some flowers, like this Day Lily in my garden is folding up it's last bloom of the year.
Sunflowers are one of our showiest crops, I believe. To see a field of these giants in full bloom is breath taking.
Something To Think About:
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest,
and cold and heat, and summer and winter,
and day and night shall not cease.
Genesis 8:22
