I think it is time to enjoy some simple, yet lovely flowers. I am very thankful for all the snow we are getting, we can use the moisture it provides, but I am in need of some color.
I won't be seeing much color outside for a while, but that is the beauty of pictures. I can have all the color I want, at any time of year.
So if you feel like I do, sit back and enjoy some lovely 'wild' roses.
These are wild roses, or should I say they were.Years ago Jake dug up one plant at a roadside, just for me.Last summer I was finally able to enjoy a few blooms from this little plant.
Other cultivated roses are more luxurious and full, but in my mind these are some of the prettiest.
You can see this plant is not very large and it is growing in my lawn.
As I was trying to capture all the beauty in these flowers, look who came for a visit.
And one more for good measure. The delicate blossom of the Wild Rose is so filled with detail and beauty.
Not just are the open flowers lovely, but those tiny buds are perfect in every way.
