Happy New Year

Yes, I know this is a sunset picture, but, as I see it, the sun has set on 2018 and now we step into a brand new year. What will it hold? we don't know and that is a good thing.
I pray that the New Year will bring love, joy and peace to your home.

I captured this shot on December 29,2018

Something to Ponder:
The new year is here! With that, comes a fresh start and uncertainty about what is to come. One thing that is for certain is the love of God and His support throughout this next year.

2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:
The old has gone, the new is here!"

A Splash Of Color to Close The Year

Christmas 2018 has come and gone and the year is drawing to a close.
I love the fresh layer of snow we got, just in time for Christmas and hope we get lots more, but I think it's time to inject some color into this blog.
The following are obviously pictures taken over the last summer or two.
I trust that as you look at these pictures, you see the beauty, but also the detail and design, created by God.

I have said it before, some flowers look as lovely from the back side as from the front. This Sunflower is a perfect example.

From the bold, bright color of a Sunflower to the delicate blush of color of Apple blossoms.
Even in bud stage they have this delicate quality.

The Lilac symbolizes spring to me. I wait for these blossoms each year. Each tiny bloom is joining together with those around it to create a beautiful bouquet.

The bold, rich color of the Fern Leaf Peony is a thrill to see. I am so thankful that a dear friend gave me this plant some years ago.

The bud opens to reveal this lovely,Carnation like, flower.

Something to Think About:
Take a good look at God's wonders---
They'll take your breath away.
Psalm 66:5

Merry Christmas To All

This will be my last post before Christmas.
Once again, I am sharing pictures of the beautiful frost we had a few weeks ago. Enjoy each scene and think about the verses I am sharing with them.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Matthew 1:23
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

Luke 2:10
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people..

Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

Luke 2:14
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

Matthew 2:10-11
“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.”

May your heart be lifted in praise this Christmas for the wonderful gift of Jesus and the joy He brings to our lives. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

Joy To The World

Come along as we continue our walk through the majestic winter wonderland, created by God.
I get excited when I see this kind of beauty and since it is Christmas time,I will add the words to one of my favourite old Christmas carols.

Joy To The World

Joy to the world
Joy to the world
Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sin.

Joy to the world
Joy to the world
Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat the sounding joy
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy

No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found
Far as the curse is found
Far as, far as the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The light of His righteousness
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders of His love
And wonders, wonders, of His love

Joy To The World The LORD is Come!

Winter Wonderland

I know the title of this post is over-used, but there are no other words to describe the beauty we have had in southern Manitoba recently.
I woke up Saturday to a world covered with hoar frost. I knew that I needed to get out there to capture some of that beauty. When a friend called to ask if I wanted to out with her,I did not have to think twice.
What follows are a few of the photos I got, more will follow in future posts.

It was still foggy, but that seemed to just add to the beauty.

These trees looked amazing in their white frosty dress.

Did I mention that it was still very foggy? Visibility was not very far, but I enjoyed being out there.

There were a few key places I wanted to check out and one of them was this railroad track.

The frost changes the look of these trees, but I think it makes them even prettier.

With the foggy skies this picture is almost tone on tone.,

I hope you enjoyed taking a drive with me and my friend on this foggy, frosty day.By the way, the temperatures were quite pleasant, so that was good.

To Think About:
There is so much beauty in the world, but you must allow yourself to see it.
