A Walk Down Memory Lane 19

As we take A Walk Down Memory Lane today,I
I invite you to join us as we walk through the flower beds and meadows
in southern Manitoba. Most of these pictures speak for themselves.
Just another reminder that all these pictures are from old slides.

Daisies in our garden.

The wild Prairie Crocus grows in some pastures around here.

A close-up of an Iris.

Iris in our garden.

These Lady Slippers grow along a short stretch of road way close to Morden.

A simple flower,the Wild Rose.

Another garden flower,Liatris with an added bonus of a Monarch Butterfly.

Lots of these flowers can be seen in the local ditches.

The bright California poppies add a pop of color in the garden.

This one is well known, the Purple Coneflower.

A mass of color in our flower bed.

Raindrops adorn the flowers.

This picture shows the growth habit of the Crocus.
Short ,hairy stems hold up the cup shaped flowers.

Springtime display of our Tulips.

The small Grape Hyacinth are very easy to grow in the garden.

Purple Asters grow wild in the ditches and meadows.

This Pink Lady Slipper is more rare than the yellow one.

Shasta Daisies have a simple beauty.

A field of Sunflowers.
This is a scene that is very common around here.

More Yellow Lady Slippers.

Prairie Lily looks much like a Tiger Lily, but is more delicate.

The tiny Violet pushes it's way through the grass.

One of my favorite wildflowers is the Harebell.

Backlit Tulips in the garden.
I hope you were able to pick a virtual bouquet for your table.

Be exalted,O God above the heavens.
