Being Thankful

A grove of old trees still wearing green. The above pictures were taken at our local Research Station. When I see all the beauty around me the words of a Praise chorus come to mind. "Give thanks with a grateful heart, Give thanks to the Holy One, Give thanks because of what the Lord has done."
If you want to be rich,
Count all the things money can't buy.

I'm thankful for my country.

What says Canada better than a Maple Leaf?

  1. Those are lovely fall color shots! I'm still not seeing too much color. Those are really wonderful! God is good indeed!

  2. What beautiful colour you captured in your pictures. I hope the long weekend is sunny as our trees should be at their peak.

  5. Ruth, your photos are beautiful. I went back and looked at some of your older posts. There are several I love, one especially 'reflections'. Also the rose bouquet.

  6. Glorious autumn colour Ruth, I just have to step outdoors to be enveloped by the presence of God. How can one not be with so much wonder around one.
Although spring is a delight, autumn has always been my favourite. I love the way the seasons wind down to winter and adore the hush of snow covered landscapes before the advent of skidoos and masses of motor traffic. Horse drawn sleighs are much more to my taste!
