It's time again for another Walk Down Memory Lane.

Today I invite you to come along,as we look at fall scenes from around southern Manitoba.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves,so enjoy.

Today,look for the handprints of God everywhere.

Flying Jewels

As I am sitting at the computer,all I hear outside is the rain coming down.

We have had over 3 inches of rain since last night.

The creek running through town is almost full,

which is rare at this time of year.

It has been a dull day,so to brighten things up,

I have a collection of pictures I have taken the last couple of weeks.

All of these were taken in Winnipeg at the English Gardens.

This is a flower garden surrounded by trees.

The gardens are gorgeous,but those pictures will come another day.

Today,enjoy these 'Flying Jewels' as they are sometimes called.

I trust that as you looked at these small birds so well adapted

to feed from the flowers,you have seen the hand of God at work.

This is the day to discover the really important things in your life.

Friendships and Flowers

Friendships,like flowers,

bloom ever more fair,

When carefully tended

by dear friends who care.

A Walk Down Memory Lane 6

Fall is around the corner,so on today's walk

let's take a look at scenes from fall.

All these pictures are from Jake's slides,so they may go back many years.

Just down the road from us is a place called Threshermans Museum.

Each year they have an old fashioned threshing demonstration.

The first two pictures were taken during such an event.

In a much later era,these trains show another one of Jake's interests.

We like to sit near a track and watch the trains roar by. The following picture was taken at Lower Fort Garry. This is an old fort which has been restored and is now a popular tourist area.

Oak leaves in full color.

This farmer is cutting his grain with an old fashioned cutter.

This is taken not too far from our place.

These small bales are not as popular anymore.

Noe it seems everyone is using the large round bales.

I still like the look of these stacks.

Grapes waiting to ripen.Yummy!

More fall color.

Grasses,I think they are called Foxtails.

They look pretty,but the farmers don't want them in the feed.

Brilliant fall color.

Just for something different,here is a night scene.

These are star trails,done by keeping the shutter open for a longer period of time.

Round straw bales.These will need a tractor to lift them up.

And some that could be handled by a strong farmer.

Enjoy the beautiful fall leaves.

This picture may not exactly be fall,but the scene is so peaceful.

And finally,here is the work of a Beaver.

Today,look for the handprints of God by studying His creation.

Summer Flowers

I have been trying to catch up on editing my pictures,

I am so far behind.

As I was going through these pictures from earlier this summer

I found a few to share with you.

I am quite fond of this pink lily.

The ruffled edges add to its beauty.

Here is another of our lilies,now long done blooming.

AS I was out taking pictures one day,I saw this Begonia,back lit.

A visitor among the flowers allowed me a quick shot. The final picture is a macro of a Gallardia.

Most of our flowers have gone to seed and the beauty is past for now.

I can rest assured they will return in spring.
